Pouring into their students and staff is something the College of Public Health is no stranger to. Earlier this month, the college reached a new milestone as a department for the 2024-2025 academic year.
The Division of Academic Innovation (DAI) hosted their inaugural Educational Professional Development Awards Luncheon to honor the college, celebrating their outstanding commitment to teaching, learning and continuous growth across campus! The College of Public Health (CPH) was awarded the Excellence in Professional Development Award, given to a department for achieving the highest collective participation in professional development sessions. CPH logged 150 professional development hours in the 2024-2025 year, representing more than 16% of the university’s combined total.
The luncheon, developed by Honor Parks, hosted various CPH faculty and staff to recognize their achievement.
“It was deeply rewarding to help create a space where relationships could grow and faculty and staff felt truly seen and appreciated,” says Parks.
DAI enhances the instructional capabilities of UNT Health faculty to best support their students with high-impact educational best practices. The division also leverages tools to enhance the quality of faculty instruction across the UNT Health campus.
“We love co-creating with faculty and welcome opportunities to align our offerings with your goals,” Parks said. “There’s always room at the table—and we’d love to work with you.”
