Canvas Clinic

Canvas Clinic is a 17-session hybrid workshop dedicated to covering the main features of Canvas, beginning in September and continuing through March of 2026. In each session, the Division of Academic Innovation (DAI) experts will cover basic and intermediate details of Canvas features. We will explore and experience various components of Canvas. You can self-enroll in the course to preview what’s coming.

Level 2 sessions are brand new this year! Check the schedule for four additional offerings where we’ll dive deeper into each topic through hands-on activities and real-time workshopping.

Ed Tech in Teaching

DAI offers comprehensive training sessions on educational technology tools to support effective and innovative teaching practices. These sessions address a wide range of platforms, including learning management systems, interactive software, digital assessment tools, and virtual collaboration technologies. Through participation, faculty gain strategies to enhance instructional methods, foster student engagement, and streamline administrative processes. In addition, these trainings promote digital literacy for both instructors and learners, contributing to a more dynamic, adaptable, and future-ready academic environment.

Academy of Health Science Educators (AHSE)

AHSE is a monthly workshop series dedicated to best practices in learning and education in the health sciences. AHSE will encourage all faculty to develop in themselves and in their colleagues’ excellence in facilitating learning at all stages of education from classrooms and labs to practice and research. The AHSE will foster a culture of educational excellence that values diversity. Continuing education credits can be claimed for attendance at many of our AHSE sessions.
