Why did you choose UNT Health College of Public Health?
I chose UNT Health College of Public Health over other institutions because of the
professors and courses that are offered here. I liked how the professors are active
experts in their respective fields with important publications as well as the courses
that they teach are really insightful to what we will actually be doing in our own
public health careers. Another thing is the software and program usage in our courses.
I love that because we will be using some of them depending on where we work and it
is something I wouldn’t have learned anywhere else.
How do you plan on applying the knowledge you gain to your future career?
I plan on using certain programs like R or SAS in my future field of epidemiology.
These are heavily used programs in public health as well as GIS systems and will be
useful for my future goal of working at the Pan American Health Organization.
