Research Appreciation Day (RAD) 2026

Celebrating research and scholarly activity across our academic community

Research Appreciation Day (RAD) is an annual event hosted by the Division of Research and Innovation at UNT Health that highlights the research and scholarly work being conducted by students and trainees across our academic community. The event provides an opportunity for presenters to share their work and engage with faculty, peers and attendees in a collaborative academic environment.

RAD 2026 will take place on April 17, 2026, and marks the first year the event will be hosted in person since the COVID-19 pandemic. The event will feature poster presentations representing a wide range of research areas, including biomedical sciences, clinical research, public health, interdisciplinary health sciences and emerging fields such as artificial intelligence.

This year’s event includes participation from partnering institutions across North Texas, including:

  • UNT Health
  • University of North Texas (Denton)
  • UNT Dallas
  • Texas Christian University

Research Appreciation Day is designed to recognize the important role research plays in advancing knowledge, improving health outcomes and preparing the next generation of researchers and health professionals.
