It’s not just about learning—it’s about learning in a way that mirrors the world around us. The supportive, diverse environment aligns with my values and offers room for growth. Residents are a family and help support each other through one of the most challenging and rewarding three years of our training.
Career Goals: Ultimately, I want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of my patients, whether in inpatient, outpatient, or academic settings. I am also committed to contributing to the field of family medicine through research and teaching, with a focus on improving healthcare delivery and outcomes for diverse populations.

About Me: Born in Galveston, Texas, I moved to Salt Lake Valley, where I grew up immersed in a culture that emphasized hard work, integrity, and education. I graduated from the University of Utah with dual majors in Biology and Psychiatry, as well as a minor in Chemistry. During my undergraduate years, I competed in Division I athletics at the University of Utah. After graduation, I played in the Men’s Premier League Rugby Division achieving state championships and earning national recognition. I went on to attend medical school at Rocky Vista University, graduating from the Academic Medicine and Leadership track. I then relocated to the Dallas-Fort Worth area to complete my residency.
Medical Interests: Longevity medicine
Personal Interests: Composing music, playing rugby, reading, hiking, diving, skiing, and snowboarding
Why this program: I chose the Family Medicine Residency Program at Medical City Fort Worth because of its comprehensive training in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The program provides abundant opportunities for career development and fosters a learning environment where growth is directly tied to effort and dedication. As an osteopathic program shared between two organizations, it also offers the option to pursue advanced training through specialized tracks. Finally, I was impressed by the program’s strong track record of matching residents into competitive fellowships.
Career goals: Pay off my student loans!

About me: I am a classically trained musician and cellist with an interest in treating performing artists physically and holistically.
Medical interests: Osteopathic manipulative treatment for performing artists and mental health in primary care
Personal interests: music, cooking, art, Pilates, and spending time with my fiancé and cats
Why MCFW Family Medicine: The residents and attendings are wonderful! I also enjoy osteopathic didactics, and it is important that I hone these skills as a resident. I also love Fort Worth because it has so much to do, and I have really enjoyed living here throughout medical school.
Career goals: To be a PCP who considers the whole person, who they are physically, mentally, emotionally, and how their careers impact their health. Specifically, I would love to have practice where I can treat musicians and other performing artists.

About me: I am a first-generation college graduate and physician in my family. I have a twin sister who is a minute older than me!

Personal interests: movies/k-dramas/c-dramas, eating + boba/gelato, reading, acrylic painting, ceramics (love collecting little pieces of handmade art)
Why MCFW Family Medicine: Location was an important deciding factor for me. I wanted to stay close to my family and be near a larger city. I also had a great impression of the program on interview day because of the residents who interviewed me (they are now my uppers!)
Career goals: I am still figuring this out. I am interested in potentially mixing a few days of clinic with a few days of home health each week.

Why MCFW Family Medicine: The residents and faculty made a great impression when I visited the program, I could see the camaraderie and the type of positive environment that fosters learning and growth. Location also played a role in my decision.
Career goals: I don’t have hard set goals but ideally would like to find a community in need and fill that PCP void.
Olivia Lapucha, DO

About me: I grew up in Colorado, where my family and I spent countless hours hiking, skiing, biking, and even rafting through the Rockies. These adventures likely fostered my passion for movement, wellness, and getting outside. I still enjoy staying active and spending time outdoors with my husband and our 2 dogs. We also welcomed our first baby this spring! In addition to my family, my faith is incredibly important to me, and I enjoy singing with my church’s choir each Sunday.
Medical interests: Integrative medicine, nutrition, pediatrics, women’s health, and restorative reproductive medicine
Personal interests: I enjoy running, biking, hiking, skiing, gardening, cooking, and playing with my dogs. My husband and I also love to travel and have visited 11 different countries together!
Why MCFW Family Medicine: This program is an excellent fit for me for several reasons. Having lived in DFW for almost 10 years, I love this area and have grown to know and care deeply for this community and their health needs. The program also offers excellent training in full-scope family medicine with high patient volumes and opportunities to see all types of patients and visits. But the hallmark of this program for me was the amount of support and camaraderie between the residents. This positive and uplifting culture is one I am honored to be a part of, and I am excited to join the team!
Career goals: I hope to practice in a private clinic where I can provide care for all patients, from womb to tomb, with an emphasis on wellness and lifestyle.

Why MCFW Family Medicine: I chose MCFW-FM because I wanted a residency that chooses to devote itself to its residents. I saw that when rotating here and found residents who loved training at this institution. Also, it’s not often that a strong medical school works this closely with the residents. I am also very hardcore OMM, and this residency was the best by far in Texas at giving me the opportunity to learn from the foremost in our field.
Career goals: To open my very own clinic and do as I please without having anyone tell me how to practice my own way of medicine. I want to give patients hope that there is so much more potential our bodies have, and we can be much happier if we “Maximize human performance”!

About me: Before college, my dream job was to play clarinet professionally. However, after volunteering at hospitals, in hospice and working as a scribe, I fell in love with medicine.

Why MCFW Family Medicine: I couples matched with my partner who is also a TCOM graduate. We both had a wonderful experience during medical school and knew we wanted to stay in the area for residency to be close to our family and friends. As an added bonus, the faculty and people at MCFW are amazingly supportive and kind.
Career goals: I hope to build a fulfilling career as an outpatient physician, helping people live healthier, happier lives through preventive care and patient-centered guidance.
