The 2025 SRP will begin late May (flexible start dates) and last for 10 weeks.

Applications for the 2026 SRP are now being accepted until March 31, 2026.

Eligibility

  • Undergraduate junior or senior; first-year medical student; graduate-school student (open to all universities).
  • Interested in pursuing a career in biomedical research.

Objectives

  • Network with student cohort, NTERI trainees and leaders.
  • Receive training in the techniques necessary to conduct research activities.
  • Daily interactions with others at the lab or project site, and participation in formal meetings to discuss research problems and work progress.
  • Conclude the program by presenting research at an interdisciplinary poster session.

Responsibilities & Requirements

  • Complete ten weeks of research work under the guidance of an NTERI faculty member.
  • Give at least one research presentation to your peers and faculty.
  • Attend the Work-in-Progress Seminars.
  • Attend the Journal Club Seminars.
