Housing insecurity
UNT Health recognizes that among potential student needs, housing is very important. While the UNT Health does not offer student housing, we have a partnership with GradRent for our students to find apartments and housing options near campus. Should a student experience immediate housing needs, there are several organizations within the North Texas area that may serve as resources.

- Presbyterian Night Shelter: Their "housing first" approach helps break the cycle of homelessness through housing assistance, support services and employment opportunities.
- SafeHaven: Emergency shelter and transitional housing for those leaving situations of domestic violence.
- Salvation Army: Emergency night shelter and other services.
- Samaritan House: Supports individuals and families with housing, resources, and hope.
- Union Gospel Mission: Free meals, shelter, and programs to help people in need.
- Tarrant County Housing Assistance Office: Provides safe, decent and affordable housing for low income families.

- Reliant CARE program: The Community Assistance from Reliant Energy (CARE) program works with non-profit social service agencies to provide extra funds to customers who qualify.
