Support the Student Emergency Fund

The Student Emergency Fund (SEF) plays a vital role in ensuring UNT Health students can stay enrolled and focused on their education when unexpected challenges arise. A sudden emergency—such as an accident, illness, housing instability, or other unforeseen circumstances—can quickly jeopardize a student’s ability to continue their studies. The SEF provides a critical safety net during these moments.

Funds are awarded to students experiencing temporary financial hardship and are carefully reviewed by the Student Assistance Resource Center in collaboration with the Office of Financial Aid to ensure support reaches those with the greatest need.

In addition to direct financial assistance, SEF donations also help stock the UNT Health Food Pantry with essential food and personal hygiene items—including toothpaste, deodorant, soap, and other necessities—available to all UNT Health students.
